Comparing Medicare Advantage plans annually is crucial.

Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans are an increasingly popular choice for Arkansas seniors, offering an all-in-one alternative to Original Medicare. As we move into 2026, several key changes are taking effect that you need to be aware of.

    Prescription Drug Cost Caps

    2026 Update

The annual out-of-pocket cap on Part D prescription drugs provides financial relief for seniors with high medication costs.

One of the most significant changes is the annual out-of-pocket cap on Part D prescription drugs. This provides financial relief for seniors who require expensive medications, ensuring you pay no more than the capped amount out-of-pocket for covered drugs in a calendar year. See Medicare.gov for the current year's cap amount.

    Expanded Supplemental Benefits

Many Arkansas Medicare Advantage plans are expanding their supplemental benefits in 2026. This includes enhanced coverage for dental, vision, and hearing, as well as over-the-counter (OTC) allowances and transportation to medical appointments.

    Network Changes

Provider networks can change annually. It is crucial to review your plan's network during the Annual Enrollment Period (Oct 15 - Dec 7) to ensure your preferred doctors and local Arkansas hospitals remain in-network for 2026.
